Thanks for answering, even so late. I still own the English coin but thought I would sell it for a few hundreds.

        Merci !
Although I like british coins very much and collect them actively, they are a secondary focus in comparisaon to roman empire, roman republic or dombes principality, hence I only buy them, cheap, or swap them, when I'm out of cash. But one can dream, and your coin is still very nice. Thanks for the offer anyway

Hello Coin-Friend. My name is Charles and I'm known as 7 Calbrey. I noticed that you're interested in an English coin I posted today concerning King Georges III and dated 1787. I might sell this coin and it would be the first time I do it on this lovely site. Of course I have to abide by the rules of the site. BTW.. I speak French very well. Dans l'espoir de vous lire bientot..

        Hi Charles,
I'm really sorry for not having answered to this message before, but I just happened to read it : I rarely go to my profile page. To be honest I don't remember the coin in question. Do you still have it. Are you still willing to sell it ?
I found the thread you posted it in and it a really nice coin, but I gues it would cost quite a few bucks (quid)

How sure are you of your Germanicus Dupondius? It doesn't seem right to me, but, unless others chime in, I wouldn't throw it away on my word. Otherwise, some great looking coins.

Well, pretty sure as much as one can be. It's been bought years ago from a reputable dealer, and since, seen by skilled collectors, some professionnals, who didn't think it was problematic. That said...God only knows

Well, far be it from me to question what professionals have already deemed authentic. So far, no one on the forum has questioned it either. Sorry to have brought it up and caused any angst.

No angst and no offense taken, it's always OK to question on authenticity of coins, questionning is not condemning, is it ?
And I have had a few of my coins turning out to be fake after being posted on various forums. High end coins are often questionned (not that this one in particular is, but generally speaking)

      Bonjour Cucumbor ,

Tes deux sites web sont très bien réussis et tes d’ancienne pièces de monnaies romaine sont très impressionnantes. J’ai trouvé tes lien dans l’article nommé : « What is it you collect? »

      Salut
