Here are seller pictures which seem too bright to me seeing it in hand but may show more detail than my camera pics so worth posting and maybe I'm just used to taking bad pictures
65+ PL ...I'm going to guess that the check is not baggy and just has frost breaks and the fields look clean
I'm all in at 65PL. Those fields are very clean looking for a PL coin. I'm pretty sure that cheek is mostly just frost breaks. It's a sweet looking coin that I am pretty sure looks outstanding in hand.
I'll go 64 PL. And it looks like your Cubs are more adept at making it out of the first round than my Indians!
Ms 64... although it is frosty looking i should see a reflection in the fields of a camera of something for that proof like grade. Beautiful coin.
What a crazy game, unreal but I'll take it! I love the Indians this year they scared me more than anyone shocked about the way they went out but they'll be back
Glad to see my thoughts pretty well confirmed that this is a pretty nice for the grade example, I personally thought it was a 64+ and gladly paid about half what that would have been. Pretty impossible to tell PL from DMPL in the photos so not worried about that part.
I was actually debating going DMPL, but the reverse held it back imo. FWIW i made my assessment from the 1st set of photos and the reverse in the 2nd set looks better imo.
I think PCGS was strict with the grade (63+ only?) but generous with DMPL. It looks borderline PL to me, the reverse in particular is only semi-PL. It's still a very nice coin which I'd love to have in my collection...
It's definitely not borderline PL, it's a clear DMPL. I have a bunch of regular PL Morgans and this is definitely much deeper mirrors than all of them. Maybe these images in regular daylight make it look more DMPLish? I'm terrible at imaging coins.
