Happy anniversary @Ancient Aussie Architecture isn't my thing, aerospace is so I don't have many ancients with buildings and such definately no aircraft. But I gave this Tiberius that while it's not my fave it is one of. Not for the condition but because oddly enough the Lugdunum Altar. But my favorite for the day goes to this Septimus that I won at a recent Agora auction that hopefully is deliverd today along with another purchase. Which I have to add was @Ajax who inspired me to this guy. Lot 272. Septimius Severus. A.D. 193-211. AR denarius. Rome mint, A.D. 200-201. Septimius Severus. A.D. 193-211. Thanks, I agree it is good to have a place where you can just switch of from the worlds problems and enjoy your hobby.
Happy anniversary @Ancient Aussie!! I always enjoy seeing your neat architectural coins. This one had been on my want list for a while so it's my favourite at the moment. I just need to get a type from Aspendos now. @Smojo your new Sep Sev is awesome!
Thanks, that Athena and Owl is a great choice still in fantastic condition, by the way this page from Tameanko's fabulous book might bring back memories.
Thanks Doug, I think it is great you have found the Severus Eastern mint coins as a sub collection, with so many die types and varieties, I watch your's and Martins with great interest.
Thanks John, I love your coin especially the swan, that little bit of scruffy look just adds to it's uniqueness, congrats.
Thanks, I have to agree with ajax, Septimius Severus has such a large variety of good quality coins you can't go wrong.
Thanks zumbly, I would love a coin from Crete especially Knossos, I remember the guide when we visited the ruins there telling us the significance of the Labyrinth to people, I dug up a pic of the ruins at Knossos that are very extensive.
I am drooling over those fantastic architectural types of yours, great collection you should be proud.
Thanks, I enjoy your historical aspect on ancient coins, it gives great pleasure and knowledge reading your posts.
