I know my pics on the fly stink. But this is a real missing obv clad layer Tn. State quarter. Cool thing is I'm in Tennessee what y'all think?
Even with your poor photo, I can tell it's not missing a clad layer. I can see the nickel color that's not hidden by the staining that appears to be copper colored.
Idk could you take better pic of obverse I looked at first pic the one on the scale and it looks ok but I do see what rick is saying I see nickel showing. The weight is right for missing clad but need better pics.
I thought missing clad layer was one side? Maybe someone ground it off both sides somehow (acid? no idea) and that amounts to the missing weight.
What is it? It weighs exactly what it should be. Toning does not make coins loose weight. The rev is weakly struck just like it should be. It is lightly circulated. That's the areas that appear silver color in the photos. Please tell me what it is. I know what it is but please tell me what you think.
@steve.e here is a link to my missing clad layer notice how the whole reverse is a copper color.https://www.cointalk.com/threads/19...lad-found-in-cash-drawer.270092/#post-2262558
