Neat! Been a very long time since I've found anything that old in circulation!

That's got obvious issues, but more detail than your typical early Wheatie from change. Usually the 'teen and twenties stuff is really heavily worn, like AG or Fair.

A 98 year old coin in circulation! That's cool regardless of condition.

Thanks. My next oldest are 1935 and 1939 in rolls.

I found a 1909 (-plain) and 1912 cent once, but that was very long ago.

1919 and 1920 Buffalos in nickel rolls, a bit more recently, but still a while back.

That 1909 cent is definitely my oldest circulation find (not counting detector finds and stuff like this).

In high school, I found an IHC in our change jar we were collecting for something. I did a one for one swap with a cent of my own :)

I've never found an Indian cent in circulation (dug dozens in the dirt, though!). The 1909 cent I found in change was a Wheatie. Pretty slick and barely readable- like between PO01 and FR02, gradewise. About as slick as a Lincoln cent can be while retaining a (barely-) readable date.

Just recently finished checking a $50-cent bag from a branch bank, and found 14-wheaties: very slick 1914 the oldest & tried very hard to see if it was by chance a D, but no luck; others were 7-40's, 6-50's, plus about 15%coppers.

I found an Indian Head spill: 1893, 1900, 1902, 1903, and 1907 on the sidewalk outside a Blockbuster video store twenty years ago; I figure someone raided a collection.

I find them every now and then (IHC).
