Been looking around for a good deal on a 2017 1oz Krugerrand and the price is
a little much for me right now as my wife just put in a new travertine floor down
stairs $$$$$ OUCH THAT HURT !!

Any how i was looking at dropping my expectations down to the 1/2 oz size just
to get my feet wet and have found in most situations the 1/2 oz carries a slight
premium over the 1oz, it should be if the 1oz is said amount of dollars the the
1/2 oz should be half as much, maybe by buying in bulk you get that discount
    ...LOL

Fractional gold almost always has a higher premium than the 1 oz coins. Imo this is an extremely common factor with most any kind of gold coin offered in both 1 oz and fractional sizes.

The higher you go up the more discount you get, makes sense :)

There are minting costs regardless of size. These are passed on to the purchaser. So higher premiums on small sizes are a natural consequence. These are usually passed on in resale so it is not really a big deal. But they are also popular because not everyone can afford a full ounce. That is one reason I mostly buy 1/10 AGEs instead of 1 oz.

Most definitely a good approach ! trying to build a PM portfolio first with silver
as its more affordable by far then gold would like to take $25,000 over the next
Year and invest with out touching my other investments atleast that is the plan.
