    Nice Gordies. A shame they are freezing up there near the North Pole. If you loved them, you'd send them on a one way trip to the tropical paradise of South Florida. ;)

    Here's some more Gordian III goodness. All in all I currently have 10 of his coins. Much more than any other Emperor in my collection. I'm probably going to add at least one more silver and one more bronze of his before the year is out.

    I've got a few in my pocket right now (ha-ha). I have the "VIRTVS" reverse type along with "MARTEM PROPUGNATOREM" struck to fund the war with Persia, I guess. I also have a provincial bronze of the facing heads of Gordian and Tranquillina, very, very, very worn, though. Got it in another unidentified hoard. Oh wait, now he's my avatar!

    Rev: CEΛEVKEΩN; Athena advancing right, holding her shield with her extended left arm & preparing to hurl a spear at an anguipede giant (Enceladus?) who is throwing stones at her.
