LOL. Tell us, do you start threads asking for people's opinions just so you can mock them?

Why worry about names ? To me bullion is any coin that you don't pay a premium for collector value . I have 1/4 and 1/2 Pre '33 gold that I buy from Harlan Berks for a small premium over the weight of the coin .

Based on this post it seems that your original post did not represent what you really want to know. Also, if you want to stay on topic then it seems inappropriate in make statements about shanty towns and bumpkins. You may think you live in the civilized world but in reality all you do is live in the urbanized world. Based on my experiences where I live I find that country bumpkins, as you call them, are way more civilized than the urbanized masses.

Australia has a tenth ounce of its lunar series I really love, as well as their tenth ounce wedge tailed eagles.

Some Morgan, Peace, and other mostly silver coins can be purchased for near spot prices, same for ASE, ML, Britannias, etc... Does that make them a bullion item ? The definition of "bullion" is not so clear sometimes.

    Yes, those are nice looking!

Yes, I consider ASEs, MLs and Britannias to be bullion only. The various proofs and other variants are not, in my mind, because they carry a sizable premium. But then I don't really consider those as coins because they are not designed to circulate. Sure, they technically are coins because they have a value on them, but that is all.

Since this is not a proof, I am assuming it comes under the bullion category rather than a numismatic category. NGC says that about 50% of these graded MS70. This is not graded, and looks flawless to me.

I like to treat myself to some 1/10th oz eagle once in a while

Matter of fact, today happens to be that day.

I may pick one up if gold drops below $1200.

I just wish I had mortgaged the house, sold the car, leased out the cat and bought more. If we had all known the potential return...........

...we would've all bought them, and they wouldn't be in so much demand now.

It's always "if I had known, and nobody else did..." ;)

True but the production run was limited as I remember, but not limited by household. But you are right in that we all have a long list of what we could or should have done back when. If only I was a clairvoyant collector.

    Yup.

When I Googled the 2008 Buffalos, I saw something about the suspending sales in the fall because of soaring demand. So instead of "I should've bought", it would have to be "I should've bought early".

But if all the time-travelers went back and snatched up (say) 1884-S and 1892-S Morgans straight from the mint, we wouldn't see the ridiculous conditional rarity we see today (Numismedia 1892-S $36 in G4, $1620 in AU50, $38K in MS60...)

I was going to answer, then I saw this nonsense.

Just for the record telling people they should worry about liquidity of a bullion coin well........

Wow, don't you realize that you are communicating on a coin forum that has a very diverse following ? There are real people, (including children), with real feelings, that are all here for the hobby of coin collecting. Your post is offensive, and rude. Can you take it down a notch please ? Thanks.
