Yes, it does make a difference. Some people just simply want 24k gold while other are happy with 22k. Also 24k requires much more careful handling than 22k. Sure, they both contain 1oz, but that is not the point I was making as I assume everyone understood that.
As long as you buy right and sell right, you should buy what you like. As stated Krugs can be bought for less, but sell for less. You won't pay a "collectors" premium for a Krug, and if gold goes up, your value goes up. If you pay an excessive premium for any coin and gold goes up, you may still lose.
