I don't think there is a simple answer. Different metals may be preferable at different times and market conditions. Probably the best bet if you are looking purely for investment purposes it to trade the GSR. When it is high sell gold and buy silver. When it drops sell the silver and buy gold.
I think i will try buying Bars of Silver to start since the price point is so much better Then gold fro an affordable stand point
I don't think this is true. Silver has more upside possibilities and so is preferable but it is a good idea to have some of each. However, those who can afford to buy a lot of gold probably prefer it because the equivalent FRN value in silver would be too bulky.
Adamantium is my metal of choice. I am all about the silver in reality though. I prefer it over gold for two reasons: 1) I believe it has more of and upswing than gold does. I have been investing/stacking/trading for a year and I believe it is more likely for silver to go up $1.00 than gold to go up $100 in one of the bump up periods that we get. That is debatable I know. 2) Silver is more fun. I can afford hundreds of more ounces in silver than gold. I have a cooler pirates chest with the silver. If It was gold it would look pretty lame. More like a very little bag than anything close to a chest. That being said, for space reasons I'm going to get some gold. I can put it on top of the silver in the Pirates chest to make it look cool.
If that is the best answer you can come up with, then maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself. Chris
Based on that logic you should buy a chest full of copper rounds and sprinkle a few small gold coins on top.
You missed the point man. It's fun having a safe full of silver. The pirates chest thing was just another way of looking at it. You don't have to be a snot about this.
I don't ever recall watching a pirate movie where they open their treasure chest to admire their copper coins. I liked your logic and fun spin on it. I am the same way about both gold and silver. I like silver because I can get more and 50 cents can mean big profits or losses depending. I do, however, like the idea of gold taking up much less space.
I'd buy a couple of Krougarans! Sarcasm aside, I think in the long-term gold is by far the best investment option.
