The latest half dime. An upgrade. Note what appears to be die rust on the obverse between dentils and bust at K7. I have one other of this die pair (LM-9) that shows this but I've not seen any other LM-9s with it. My photos and the TV "glamour shot".

 

Picked up another coin from the Flea this week. Sat in our local distribution center at USPS for 4 days before being delivered across town.

Common Morgan, but snagged it for the VAM. 1887P VAM3A, Elite CD Clashed Morgan for less than $80. Will send to ANACS for grade and attribution. Got it today and put it under the scope, all that is left for ANACS to decide is EDS or LDS. Some amazing clashes on the lips and chin on this one.

PF 70 Ultra Cameo

 

I have not started collecting the modern SMS silver dollars yet. What's a fair price for these? I see pricing all over the place.

 

I think That I gave a 115 for it. Which seems pretty cheap, I think 15 to 20 under most on the internet.

 

One of my newest arrived - hmmm the ordered this one friday and ordered one on 8/7 and ordered this one late friday. This one showed up from Friday. One 1892-S that I need.

 

I'll take that over a beat up 62 any day. Lovely coin.

 

Nice! Here's my AU58, also PCGS, and for basically the same price. I prefer my photos to PCGS's on this one, despite having to shoot through the plastic.

Picked up another Morgan this week. 1884-S. I already had 2, both raw coins that I had graded. One went AU50, cleaned, the other VF35, also cleaned. It's a date and mint that is TOUGH to get a straight graded coin, conditional rarity is probably the steepest of all the Morgan minted coins, every grade up is a huge jump after XF40. I'd been casually looking for quite a while for a decent straight graded one, then pulled the trigger on it. It looks like it could have gone AU50 after looking at dozens of specimens, and priced lower than what I see for sale, regardless of the PCGS price guide, plus it looks better than a lot of AU50's and 53s. Truthfully, my AU50 cleaned is nicer . I still don't understand how it got details. I've looked it over 100 times. Irks me that a lot of straight graded coins could easily get a details grade as well. Anyway, here she is. At $220, was the best buy for the buck at XF45, straight grade. and could be a slider upward. The coin has better luster than the True View suggests.

 

I received the coin above today, here are sellers photos. Coin matches True View's photos and it's unique bagmarks on PCGS Photo view, so I know it's real and the same coin.
