Gold - Is $1900.00 the New Normal?

It tickles me that I started this thread when I was worried over $1900.00 gold…. And here we are at $2900.00.

Lot of people here were bullish. We did a good job helping one another out.

Plus I knew I wanted/needed to buy some Double Eagles....what....like the price of gold would cheapen and help me out !!??

 

Everything is getting cheap !..LOL, except my appliance bill
GOLD and SILVER both have lost allot of steam, let see if the trend continues...

 

Gold down 3% today....broken support....flushing out weak hands....higher rates not helping.

It can stay here until FUN 2027 for all I care.

 

Still hovering above 4k. I just have a feeling this might be the bottom. Not a lot has changed since January other than a gulf war, and that won't last forever. The fundamentals of precious metals and the global economy haven't really changed other than that.

 

Me too. I have a feeling in my gut (and that's a BIG feeling) that we may have a breakout run up on both gold and silver before the holidays. I trust my gut almost as much as my Magic 8-Ball.

 

Man, I wish my guts were as reliable as that old 8-Ball.

A flush to $3,500 would really scare the weak hands.

I think buying here is fine. Save some powder for a bit lower.

If my Dream Coin shows up on the cheap, I would try and buy during the year instead of waiting for FUN 2027.

 

They had a very nice little 1910 quarter eagle at the pawn shop today. No sign of wear on the obverse, but the reverse was scraped or wiped, probably from someone there dragging it across a counter. Asking price $770. They offered to come down to $700. With melt well under $500, I passed.
