Hello everyone, Yes, I went Metal Detecting today. The thread will be created tomorrow Did I find silver you ask? WELL.. _____________________________________________________________ In the meantime, enjoy these two newly acquired notes Funnyback $1.00 - The "Funnyback" is a 1928 or 1934 U.S. one-dollar silver certificate, nicknamed for its unusual back design and lighter green ink. History and Design The Funnyback was introduced in 1928 as the first small-size U.S. banknote, replacing the larger "horseblanket" bills used previously. Measuring 6.14 by 2.61 inches, it was smaller and easier to handle, with the redesign aimed at reducing counterfeiting and improving usability. The obverse features George Washington, serial numbers, a blue Treasury seal, and signatures of the Treasurer and Secretary of the Treasury. The reverse earned the nickname "Funnyback" due to its dramatically lighter green ink and unusually large font for the word "ONE," which made it look almost like play money $100.00 - Series 1929
