Whether you're new to Conder tokens or just reluctant to pony up for this reference, here's a chance to obtain an unused copy. (2004 reprint with Davisson's update material, 567 pgs.) Drop me a note on this site by 10 am West coast time on Monday, May 11th to enter the drawing. No costs, no postage. Bob
If you are new to Conder tokens or a seasoned collector this is a reference work that should be in your bookcase.
This is not an entry, because I have a copy. This is an essential reference for anyone collecting this material. In addition, this is the best version available, even better than the original in my opinion.
This is the only Condor token I have. Can anyone tell me about it, besides what is says on the reverse. Actual minting year, mint (I assume the R on the obverse is a mint mark), designer, engraver, stuff like that. Looks like this piece has a planchet crack at 12;00, and the token is slightly dished. Was this produced with a rolling die (not sure that is the correct terminology) or just damaged?
