    Some information -

    Key Details:
    • Silver Content:
Most commonly 0.6 ozt (about 18.66 grams) of .999 pure silver.
    • Construction:
Often bimetallic, with a silver core and a brass or copper-nickel outer ring.
    • Denomination:
The $10 is a face value for casino play (historically) or a reference for bullion weight, not official currency.
    • Variations:
Designs and conditions vary widely as they come from different casinos and years.

Back in the day you could win these from the quarter slot machines. They were a form of advertising. The machines were set loose. They wanted to get them out there in the hands of slot players. You could cash them in at the cage for $10 but they wanted folks to take them home. The holders they are in got really beat up from dropping into the tray of the slot machine.
On one trip I won about 10 of them and took them home. That was the start of a small collection. I think some of the outer rings were gold plated.

Cool Tokens, watch out those things are addictive. A set of 4 can lead to more :)

At last count we had 24.
The Flamingo Laughlin is Retired, now the Aquarius.
Was always a good time to have one drop out into the tray.

To add that some of the newer casino strikes are not .999 silver but clad.
Fun fact the $7 strikes have more silver content than the $10 strikes.
