40 percent silver market?

Are there any major dealers or market makers buying 40% silver right now? How is the market for these coins?

Provident's still advertising a buy price for 40% Ikes, but "call us" for 40% halves.

Same for JM Bullion.

Moneymetals is selling 40% halves for 23.34x FV, and buying at 20.54x. Per coinflation.com, melt is 23.46x. Both those buy and sell prices are less of a discount than I'm used to seeing for 40%. I guess demand is strong enough that it's even spilling over into the usually-unloved 40%.

 

I sold one 40% Ken today for 16xface to one of my preferred LCS. It was with a bunch of other mixed purity silver coinage so I’m good.

I acquired it for much less.

 

I've never paid more than face value for any of the 40% coins - as a rule. I only buy them at face at banks. Guaranteed return.
