I like these "go-alongs", dwhiz. I have a die used to print wooden nickels for a coin club and an example of the finished product. I'll find an image and post it later. Bruce
I found the image of the die and the associated wooden nickel (Crescent City CC). The die looks to be lead but I can't be sure. Bruce
Dug these years ago. I think this is a badge of some sort, Made of lead ( i think) about 1.5in across. 9.9g That's an S at the bottom under the S of USA. Buy a cake and get one for free, Palmolive.
I like cake. Cake is good. Here is some competition. Not my favorite company though I do like the President side.
It's been a while since I've contributed to this thread. I was doing some reminiscing looking through some old photos this evening. Some work from one of my favorite carvers . . . . . . Z
I used to read Kamal Ahwash's Kams Korner in Coin World, an actual newspaper format, back in the olden days. LOL
US AirForce Bien Hoa Vietnam club token, plated brass, M/A, 24mm, 5.36 grams. Somewhere on the contractor's drawing it said ( 2 sides) meaning same design on both sides, which was very common with Vietnam club tokens. Apparently, the contractor thought (2 sides) was supposed to be on the tokens. Since the club served food and Open Mess is on the design, maybe he thought (2 sides) was Good for two side orders? Note: This is not the real color. It's plated brass and bright. Sorry, I can't get silver-looking pics to come out right.
