I remember that but I never sold. I still have all that I bought. It was a save it for my retirement thing. I’m retired and have been for over 8 years but I still haven’t sold. I only sell a few coins in my antique shop and I’m getting good prices.

 

Why would you short it? It keeps going up. It’s over $57.00 an ounce.

 

Maybe there are situations where shorting is a good strategy, but no one has ever convinced me of it.

When you short, your maximum profit is 100% (if the thing you're shorting goes to zero), and your maximum loss is unlimited. I'm buy-and-hold oriented, so that's the exact opposite of what I want.

 

I just looked again and it now $57.75.

 

Moving from "will it hit $60 in 2026" to "will it hit $60 tonight"...
