Lately I've been on a vintage drive, and recently I moved to hunting for 1oz bars. Here's what I've found locally so far. 6 of these flat back JM bars, the first generarion of 1oz JM bars, which were struck from 1979 to 1982. A Bicentennial bar. Not sure which mint made these but the eagle is so nice. A silver bullet for protection from werewolves I suppose. An Enhelhard bars, probably mid-1980s And a Continental Coins Corporation bar from the silver they purchased from the US government in 1981. Originally this would have been part of a 1000 oz bar. Feel free to share some vintage 1 oz bars of your own.
ERIC, Question: What does the back of the Johnson Matthey bar look like? The picture of the front looks like it has an engraved serial number?? That's odd to me as I've never seen/Heard of it on a legit JM bar. LOOKS QUESTIONABLE
