Found this amusing article, and thought you might enjoy it, @GoldFinger1969: Central banks have been buying a squillion tonnes of gold, promise
A wise man once said: So far today, it's up what, $120? Looks like what the non-science people like to call "parabolic"...
It's tough to put one's head around this. Different but similar.....remember when Bitcoin ran to 60k and retreated to around 18k? Now it's over 100k. Lots of fortunes will be made or lost. I don't put any credence to it, but a few are saying gold may cross 10,000 in the not so distant future.
But does that mean 2-3 years.....or 15 years ? Big difference, BM !! And I do think we have bidders underneath. Notice that gold is NOT letting you "in" if you missed out. Bullish....something I've noted here for YEARS (back to 2018 or 2019, I think ).
I meant in the next 5 years. That's kind of "near future", no? And I was never not "let in". I inherited gold privilege.
$10,000 in 5 years would be a big move. 16% a year I guess. It's a big move....if we got there, I would probably SHORT gold to protect the "value" of my bullion/numismatics. CoinTalk Post, July 2034, Gold Hits $20,000: "I haven't seen Goldfinger1969 in a while, anybody heard from him ?"
Top link this evening on Coinflation: ANZ forecasts gold to hit $4,400/oz by year-end, peak at $4,600/oz by mid-2026 "By year-end"? Dang, does this mean I missed Christmas already?
Now, that's ridiculous and why Wall Street at times looks idiotic: we're right at $4,400 so either have a higher PT or say that gold will be flat through year-end if you don't think it moves up even 0.5%. I think $4,600 by mid-2026 is too low, but it's a reasonable guestimate.
GOLD TO $10,000 BY 2029 was the scrolling headline for Ed Yardeni's appearance today on CNBC (should be free on the site for a few more hours). RING !! RING !! RING !! RING !! RING !!
Perplexing, ain't it, Randy? Gold is going up while the USD is falling. Real estate is falling while the Dollar is doing . . . what?
I’m sure your investment advisor will be pleased to hear that . . . Me? . . . I could go for two palm trees and a hammock.
