Me and my boy are going to a fairly large coin show in our area weekend after next. I plan to take a modern double eagle full ounce MS70 with me to sell and finance our "guys weekend"...... Who knows what will happen over the course of the next week, but are dealers buying bullion at these shows? If so, what should I expect? Maybe 10% under spot or so?
Over spot. They can turn it right there at the show. Easy money for them,, and quick. Get more than one offer
A four grand weekend? Lines on the mirror, lines on her face ? Sounds like an epic guys out romp! Haven't had that much fun since my bachelor party.
Modern eagles in MS 70, really dont bring a premium according to my LCS grade doesn't really mean much in a modern, now if it was a PR70DCAM now thats a different story.
Wow, sounds like a fun weekend coming up! Surely some long lasting memories will be made! p.s. can I come with??
Yep, no casinos. And I am far more susceptible to the cry of lonely coins in need of a loving home anyway. It's really a very cool deal for me. I got a card in the mail about this show and I stuck in on my fridge to keep the date in mind. My boy went to the fridge the other day, saw the card and asked if he could come with me... I was elated. I started him a little collection a few years back but his interest rather waned so I didn't push it on him. I was pretty excited that he would give up a Saturday of video games to go to the coin show with the old man!
I'll be going to the NH show in a couple of weeks. I know that show has buyers. Some will trade. It's a pretty good sized show. There are many shows in the southernNH, northernMA area - so, many collectors. I'm hoping to sell/trade some of the 5oz'ers I have accumulated. I'm sure you will run into somebody who knows somebody who wants your coin. Shop it around a bit. Have fun with The Boy!
