Don't buy Morgans Morgans are counterfeited because there's a potential larger profit from it. ASEs are based on spot + premium for current ones. there's no profit there on a using 1oz of silver to counterfeit once you ship them from overseas and sold in non-reputable places. If they use a silver plated slug then the reputable dealers will figure it out quickly. Maybe they'll use a gold slug instead
@tmnt, I believe the shiny ones go away sometime in 1994 and that is also when milk spots start appearing. The older dates do not seem to have this problem. In my samples I see the "U" in 2008' did they have 2 versions in 2007?
I believe there were two varieties for 2008. The 2008 with the 2007 reverse and the normal 2008 reverse. Chris
