    Radiate, laureate, draped, cuirassed bust right, baldric strap over shoulder and across chest, seen from front

    Rev. DAC PARTHICO P M TR P COS P P S C
    Concordia enthroned facing left, holding patera in right hand, left elbow resting on small statue of Spes on small column, cornucopiae below throne.

IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG P M TR P COS III, radiate head right, with drapery on shoulder / SALVS P VBLIVA, Salus standing left, with right foot on globe, holding patera in right hand and rudder over left shoulder. RIC II 604a. VF, brown patina. Ex CNG

    The face is Hadrian and the legends read Hadrian but the spirit of these early coins really reminds us of Trajan. I always though of Trajan as the king of tiny letters but the need to get Trajan's name on there twice really shrank the available space. Great coin!!!

    I love all these Hadrian coins. He is one of my favorite collecting subjects. Here are a couple of mine. Two denarius and a sestertius.     one Hadrian with the tiny letters and a standard later one with large short legend, like your description Doug , both salus on the reverse.

    Of all these beautiful Hadrian coins posted I counted only 4 facing to the left. Those left facing travel series coins must be particularly scarce.
