    It a crying shame. I lived there in the very early 90's for a short time and it is such a beautiful country with really nice people.

    The older notes were really lovely, I held off on completing the set because I knew they would lose value. Did get a set of coins from a collector in Caracas, my favourite coin was the 12 1/2 centesimo piece.

    I picked up the older notes that these replace recently for $5, all crisp. Lovely designs on them.
