Sorry. I'm not quite with it tonight or tomorrow depending on where you live. Isn't that too expensive, 5 grams for $1234.56???

It's too expensive for me :p but evidently someone else wanted it at that price point.

It's a nice round number :p checking the sold comps, well they are getting good money for them at $1200 and up.

Gold prices make you double think going into the wrong part of town wearing jewelry. No?

Willy Wonka! I like to have one as well. But I have my limits and 5 grams for that is insane. I’d rather spend that much and have a nice gold coin or almost an ounce of gold from any company.

Looks like it's been a while since you've checked the price of gold... ;)

Gold is over $3300 an ounce today. There are 28.35 grams of gold in an ounce. That means, if my math is correct, that 25 grams of Willy Wonka gold would cost you over $6000. Hence my point, I’d rather have a nice gold coin or almost an ounce of gold. :)

Actually 31.1 grams in a Troy Ounce of Gold.

There are 31.1034768 grams in an ounce of gold to be precise. This can be confusing for those of us who are used to the standard ounce (or kitchen ounce) which weighs 28.35g. That is because there are in fact two types of ounce - the ‘troy’ ounce and the ‘avoirdupois’ ounce.

The troy ounce is the one most commonly used in the world of precious metals, and is the default unit of weight when measuring gold, silver, and platinum. It is often used in reference to the gold price which is usually quoted in pounds, dollars, or euros per troy ounce.

I think the association with Willy Wonka drives the price makes it more valuable
    to the right collector.
