In Chicagoland, they don't call it innuendo, they call it "Up the..." --oh, never mind. Suffice to say, it's an expression denoting quantity, as in money "up the..." --or perhaps nowadays "money innuendo"... Local vernacular, it's important!
And? What does that krap have to do with your very obvious attempts to convey verboten politics statements on CT?
I would like to explain something that some may not have thought. Of course People who can vote legally have the right to vote for anyone on the list, Absolutely !! But Almost 20% of the postings I had to delete in the last election due to unallowed political postings or comments, had a foreign IP address on voting day. I had to run a program to confirm it and then delete it if they were foreign IP. But they could copy and email Many of our members who thought they were reading a US citizens with different battle flags, etc. as they were from a different continent ( mainly european). I gave up trying to keep up a listing near dawn. There were very few other moderators on board in evening, and Not all members read the rules or they go around them. I will not respond to ,nor advocate anything, about this posting, only my suggesting the forum be closed that day to support the moderators . Jim
Not trying to support or refute any sinister readings of "foreign IPs", but we have plenty of regular non-US members, right? People outside of a country can certainly be expected to have opinions about that country's politics -- although people here are mostly very good about keeping them to themselves, and the mods are usually ready to assist when self-control isn't quite enough.
Jeff, you certainly are one of a few here with a great understanding in electronics and the internet and science. Only considering the event mentioned, no one's IP were checked by me unless they violated the rules that all members were given when they joined, whether US or foreign. Back then I didn't know I or others could change the computer IP using the information on line, but I suspect the crashers used something to switch ips due to similarities of multiple posts. We don't seem to have many ( maybe 1-3 ) moderators and I wish them good luck. Jim
That dire? Enemy at the gates? You fought bravely Jim, my hat off to you..... And, then again, one can't always believe what they read on the internet.
Perhaps you should reread the rules again. Coin Talk Rules Discussion in 'Introductions' started by GDJMSP, Feb 22, 2008. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Thread Tools Watch Thread GDJMSP Numismatist Moderator Coin Talk Rules –
I know the rules. I didn't read political intent in this thread. Inuendo? Perhaps, but keep your shirt on. I don't see the need to shut things down and the only one going off the rails is you....
Lemmmeee seee.....waida minute....stiill looking... ok, finished! Yep, founded it! Perhaps.....the proper response is Baloney.
