Constantine the Great, an Eastern Orthodox Catholic saint (though not bearing the title on this coin) is considered equal to the apostles, at least according to the Orthodox Wiki. Next coin, something related to the early church. Could be a saint, Christian symbolism, or anything.

Grade: good Fine with decent centering. Incuse roaring lion is well preserved (inverse relief) & obverse boar’s head is worn.

I bought this coin privately. It is ex Santa Barbara Museum of Art, NFA I (1975), at which time the rim from 2:00 to 6:00 which is missing now was only half missing. In that sale it went to Bunker Hunt. The it was sold in the Hunt Sale, Sotheby's Sale IV (1991) and at that time it was already like it is now. (I didn't break it--it came to me like that.) The buyer sold it to me in 2006.

Lesson: Siliqua can be fragile. Be careful with them.
