This seller was contacted about his bar and wrote back the following: "THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION.(IT IS BAD) i WILL REMOVE IT RIGHT AWAY AND THROW IT IN THE COUNTERFIETS= HAVE OVER 125 BAD ONES NOW." Yet a day later the bar is still listed. Contacted again by another Ebay user he now says he will look into it, and he is acting like he doesn't know that it is a fake bar. I have reported him to Ebay and to Silvertowne. Here is a link to the auction: https://www.ebay.com/itm/195953130903?hash=item2d9fb77d97:g:lDIAAOSwfEBk6j4J Trying to help others not get scammed.
Send the seller this link. https://www.fakebullion.com/index.php/component/k2/item/15-silvertowne-1-ounce-silver-bar

Looks like Mexican 1955 PLATED gold 5 peso coins are the next up and coming GARBAGE. Couple new sellers
I was wondering what the laws were for Mexican money being copied?? The listing says 14k. Used in jewelry pendants, but still a copy of the real coin that shouldn't be copied. No doubt they are copying all the other sizes of Mexican gold as well... Do you're diligence and verify all purchases.

This a genuine coin that has been gold plated. It says right in the description that it is 14kt gold plated silver. It's not a copy nor a counterfeit, just a coin worth a few bucks worth of silver bullion with gold plating on it. If it were stamped 14kt there would be an issue. Sadly the coin is abused as it was probably polished to provide a good surface for the plating, also for gold plating to adhere well to silver it should first be nickel plated.
Rick, Mea culpa. In reading the listing again I see that it says "for pendant any size" which would infer that they are offering 1955 5 peso pieces in "any size," hence if they are smaller in size then a silver dollar they would be counterfeit. Thank you for enlightening me. Cheers,, Paul
I was mearly going by the picture. The picture looks like a good 1955 gold Cinco peso. Maybe a photo they pulled from someone else's listing as different sellers are selling them. I would like to think the weight and or color would be off from a real one and easy to spot a copy/fake.
