What does everyone think about Silvers recent gains? Of course, we all watched precious metals gain a bit after the Brexit, but Silver topping 20 is at least somewhat of a story. I am inclined to think there will be a slight correction, and we will see Silver hover back at around $18-18.50, but who knows! So much uncertainty and it can be good or bad at this point!

Seeing as I am currently getting a large amount of silver ready to sell, I hope it goes up more in the coming weeks :p with maybe a severe 3 day drop on the weekend of the 14th,and a recovery right after... lol. Just my hope, not a prediction ;)

It was crazy over the three day weekend. Went up a buck Saturday and dropped $.90 the next. I was all ready to buy in for more even going over what money I have set aside for silver but after seeing the drastic swings I will wait a little. It is great to see the general trend going up though.

Caution, there are a lot of short players looking to dump at $20, so this may be a quick bump and crash situation. Just remember how quickly it went up!

I'm not saying this is a dead cat bounce or anything, but I would expect a pullback.

Proceed with caution - and a big grin if you got in over the last year. :)

I'm a bit of a pessimist so I think it's going to crash as soon as GB finalizes its Brexit plan... I'm no economist, so don't take my word for it. I was just the idiot who bought on the uptick last time and am in the red on my silver.

Watch for entry points. It never goes up in a straight line for long without a correction - but now everyone is finally jumping on $1400 gold.

Silver will trail - so set aside your mad money and wait to pounce!

For the record - I called this (repeatedly) and was maybe too conservative in my prediction. It was bound to happen - it got too low too fast.

This was my post in Sept 2015.

As much as I've been loving the recent spike, I don't mind a pull-back, no matter how severe. I never sell, and am it for the long haul. A nice drop in price is just a great opportunity to buy buy buy!

Everyone thought Silver would keep going lower from when it hit $15/14 range. I thought the opposite in that it wouldn't last forever. Well I definitely proved some of my friends wrong on the metals. We did after all just go through several year lows on PM's. We gotta see more ups after the downs right? ;)

I actually like the prospect of even more buying opportunities. I'm young. My stacks don't look tall enough.

Oh, man. The younger you are, the more you ought to be putting into investments that EARN returns, rather than just taking your principal up or down. I'm really glad that I put money into a mutual fund 30 years ago instead of silver or gold -- the metals have gone up 4x-5x, but the fund is up to 12x what I put in.

I don't disagree with your thoughts except in relation to not-so-recent actions of the Central Banks. Not just ours but the system itself which covers most of the world. I have to ask myself if QE, ZIRP and now even NIRP have affected prices in the paper markets and if so, are they sustainable?

I don't believe they are and as such, I prefer metal over paper. A return of Capital over a return on Capital, at least until some measure of sanity returns.

I won't just do metals. I've only begun my life of investing (many people in their early 20's don't even HAVE investments!). As I become more of a "business" person of sorts I'll develop a portfolio with more than PM's on it. Just don't know what at the moment. And current funds support PM's the most until a future point in time.

Almost everyone else I know in real life in my age group don't really know what silver is and wonder why I have a coin collection/hoard. ;)

Tell them that you're a nerd and will happily make them "cool" by relieving them of all coins and silver they have and give them token lowball offers. :)

I bet all of them have $500 phones and 10x that amount in debt!

I wish someone would have taken me aside while I was younger and showed me the investment ropes. I'd be retired now!

Haha I hate to say it but I have NO friends my age that would even consider thinking about investing or purchasing precious metals. I am 27 years old and in all honesty, the generation born from 1987-now are pathetic. They spend $600 on a phone and will talk to you all day long about the newest TV show they couldnt tell you the first thing about sound investments, and probably couldnt even tell you what it means lol

28 here and I wish more people my age collected coins! I try to share my enjoyment with everyone who will listen!

Same here. I'm 28 as well and don't know anyone who collects or stacks. I get laughed at by friends if I bring it up. I have a feeling we will be the ones laughing very soon. I wish silver would stay low for a little while longer so the stack will keep growing quicker.
