I appreciate what you and RTE have done to help get these fake bars off of Ebay.
I have contacted the seller and he did not respond to me.
I have also reported him to Ebay and I have reported him to Silvertowne Mint.

The seller of the recent one has sold a few and received feedback.
He said his bars weigh and measure correct.
I sent him the dimensions from the silvertowne website and he hasn't responded yet.

I know it's ultimately up to the buyer, but Feebay clearly shows no listing counterfeit items.
I haven't reported it yet, I was bouncing messages around with the seller trying to educate them.
I'm thinking they know they are fakes.
I reached out to Feebay also about the counterfeit silvertowne bar ( I guess that's a way of reporting )
Still waiting for a reply from Feebay.
I'm half tempted to be high bidder and check it out in hand...

I know someone who bought a bar from this seller.
He won it by an offer on March 9th.
When it arrived it had the correct weight on a scale.
But a magnet picked it up right away.
Here is a photo of the one received and how it sticks to a magnet.
A refund was issued when the seller was contacted, but he keeps listing more.

Counterfeiters are every bit as low as a common thief and should be strung up by their thumbs.
People just want to own a little silver and these people steal from them.

Ok then, did this someone have to send back the counterfeit to receive the refund?
My dad bought some silver eagles for about $3 over spot from a guy in Canada.
The listing had some crappy pictures but they were the year he wanted so he took a shot.
The packaging came from China (he called and said that's probably not a good thing) I went over to check them out and 2/3 stuck to a magnet, all were off weight. Diameter and thickness were really close.
I had him question the seller and he immediately got a refund.
He didn't ship anything back and now has some samples for reference.

I sent this seller the picture of the bar sticking to the magnet. He said he was going to check into his bars.

Not the listing says 1 ounce silver bar.
Took the silver town off the listing.
Well it's silver in color and a bar shape that I guess weighs 1 ounce with or without the hard plastic case.
Hmmm, I don't have one of these so maybe it's worth the time to get a sample to Disect?

The guy who bought from him told him about the bar and sent him the photo.
The seller said he didn't know and acted concerned. The seller also said he got them at an estate sale. He gave a refund and said to keep the bar. It seemed like he was done selling them, until recently when he started listing them again.
Now he seems to know nothing about the bars again.

Thanks for sharing the account about your dad.
I'm glad he got a refund and now has examples of fakes.
It is good to be able to help others by showing them examples of what is out there.

The guy who bought them from him was also told by the seller that he would check into them.
Great observation on how he has changed the title for the listing.
I really appreciate you helping with this.
I don't want to see others taken in by these fake bars.

No response, big surprise ! its obvious there not real, however I question the fact
why a silver town bar ?, I would consider
that more on the generic side with no
side value like a JM or E bar.

Here is a Screenshot of what the fake bars sold for.
I sent the link for the bars to Silvertowne and I reported them to Ebay days ago.
I know others reported these to Ebay also, yet they were not pulled from the auctions by Ebay.

It’s a shame, they don’t take more aggressive action against the seller :(
but with eBay it’s all about the dollar
    bill $$$

Yeah I think some of us may be giving these vendors excess benefit of the doubt.

Yup, Feebay clearly doesn't seem to care.
UNAUTHORIZED COPIES are not to be listed on eBay so the state in their regulations.

Items sold using a brand name or a brand logo must be original and made by the brand or manufactured on their behalf.

I don't see much action of from Feebay.

Pretty clear eBay cares little about the buyer but protects the seller because that's money in their pocket. Long-term you would hope that this practice hurts eBay and loss of customers but who knows.

Yes you are right, I just found another auction today:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1157543429...YNP1/PZKQk/cd8SFYY9cpy8hUr|tkp:Bk9SR8a73JjpYQ

And this seller has more than 10 available.
Fakes are plentiful it would seem.
