I know you buy the coin and not the holder. Does a coin that is not properly lined up in the holder influence your purchase price? If so how much? It might be the OCD part of me but to me it is like a flaw in the coin since it impacts my viewing pleasure. Most coins seem to have this issue with some very pronounced even ones with brand new holders.
Your title is backwards And no, it doesn't bother me generally. I must ask though, what are your thoughts on rattlers?
Here's one thread.. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-crooked-slabbed-coins.267943/#post-2224339 One post in this thread references youtube videos as well
I don't mind all that much if the coin has rotated. I don't let it influence my thoughts on the price. With many slabs you can get the coin to rotate back. Like SuperDave, I wonder about the new ones. I'll guess reeded edge coins won't move at all.
Well I can see that with PCGS slabs, but not NGC slabs. I've received submissions back from both of them with some coins nearly upside down.
Drives me nuts. I don't care what the coin is -If it's turned in its holder, I wouldn't take it even if you offered it to me for free.
