Junk Silver or American Silver Eagles?

    I'll gladly pay you double the melt value for everything labeled MS64 / MS65.

    And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, you paid WAY over the melt value of that SA/XD. The metals and plastic in at are probably only worth a couple bucks. In fact, there's no precious metal in it at all!

    ... and I typically just buy junk 90%. The stores I frequent now don't usually have ASEs or Maples for reasonable prices, so I'm happy to be able to look through and pick my own junk coins. I also dive into world coin junk bins whenever possible to cherrypick the overlooked world silver coins.

    If only I had been smart enough to consistently buy throughout the summer when the price was so well below $1100 an ounce....

    Oh wait.... I did. :cigar:

    It still has a long way to go, but I think we've touched bottom.
