For you bullion hoarders, here is a good deal on a roll of silver buffalo rounds. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12153192641...=email&utm_campaign=2015-12-30-eBay-1-product That's $15.69 each. Cheapest I have seen in a long time.
What I don't like about the APMEX ad is that it references James Earle Fraser and the buffalo, Black Diamond, but nowhere does it state that this generic bullion round was not designed by JEF. To the uneducated or new collector, I think this represents misleading advertising. In my opinion, it is no better than the TV ad for the 14 mgs thick, gold-plated copy of the $50 Buffalo. Chris
Actually they say " James Earle Fraser’s design for the 1913 Buffalo Nickel has inspired both images featured on this round" By saying "pays tribute to" they are covered in that it is implied, by current tradition, that it is a copy. Not that I agreed, I don't, but it works for them.
Frank, just ask yourself how many people, here alone, take statements the wrong way. Enough said! Chris
