Just curious what the board's thoughts are on the 2015 Platinum Eagle. The Production is limited to 4,000.

It was mention in another post one can purchase bullion for $900.

A basic 1 oz. Platinum round is under $950.00 per ounce, plus shipping. It's really dropped in price lately as all metals have. A great buying opportunity. I'm not into buying limited edition or limited production issues as you will pay a higher price.

Seems like you did well. Speculation is they will flip for $1,500-1,800 after the 5 min sellout

Outside of six months they'll be selling for melt plus (maybe) a small premium. If you guys are gonna 'flip' I'd do it now.........

That is accurately inline with what I'm seeing on Ebay.

I'm still not 100% sure about 6 months out. What I am 100% sure of at this very moment is that I can flip it for a profit. That's the path I've taken. I did hesitate to do so this morning, but I'm sure I'll be happy with what I get on the flip. "Sure thing cash" sounds better than "speculative cash" for this item.

Did they actually sell out in five minutes?

5 to 10 minutes, yes, definitely they did.

They did.......who'd o' thunk? Hype and too many folks thinkin' they can make a quick buck. Used to be just collectors, but I think the general public is getting in on things too. Everyone knows that you can make a whole passel o' money by collecting and selling coins........

I'm glad I stopped buying almost all mint and BEP products about two years ago. I now have no worries about current or future cash values of their contemporary currency. U.S. classic coins and large size paper currency gets my support. The people you deal with are more apt to be true collectors, not flippers. If you know how to grade and how it relates to an items value, you never will over pay on your purchase; unless you want to.
