$2.57 premium over today's melt seems too high

    but, if you are happy...

Its the lowest price anywhere that I can find. It's a premium I hadn't seen anywhere in a while. Either I'm under a rock and it was it a dumb move, or I'm just having a little fun with eagles. I guess its a little of both. I am kinda happy with my purchase. I guess I was just bored rather and go with the cyber monday buying clothes and useless crud that will lose all of its value as soon as it hits my doorstep, I figured I'd tie up my money with these things. :)

I just bought a large quantity of silver rounds at $.69 over spot. Not Eagles but it was spot plus, so I bought the Indian Head ounces. Hope your as pleased as I am. :)

I just bought a couple of world silver group lots. One is pre-1900, the other world crowns. I paid a little premium, maybe $15 ASW. I just like having fun with my coins. I like some variety with my junk silver.

I fairly happy. Hopefully we'll see a little bump in silver that holds. You got a sweet deal too.

There are definitely deals to be had out there if we look closely. I always see that with the holidays you can catch a better deal here and there as everyone is traveling or out shopping.

Well, they are American Silver Eagles! Good show.
Oh was that prepaid or did you have to pay shipping also?

Yes - Lowest price I've seen lately plus free shipping. You can always sell a few to the uninformed Ebayers as they are still paying $20 and up for a 2015 coin. :vomit:

Even at 20 bucks i'll come close to breaking even. I noticed that individually they bring that and more. I also say a few recently ended listing that show 5 rolls / 100 coins sell for $1900.00, and individual rolls for $400.00

    Shhhhh.... Keep it secret!

I actually got a 10% coupon on Ebay last month and was able to score a roll of ASE's for around the same price. I think it was $16.40 after all was said and done.

$16.40 per piece for a roll is killer man!

Great Price. My best price for a group of (5) rolls has been $1816. That was before the current price drop, and that was the lowest I'd seen in forever. My best single roll of eagles was $359 or something like that. I was really tempted at the $1670 and I think I saw one in the $1630ish range too. Just have bought too much lately and with Christmas looming, I didn't pull the trigger. Also just bought a $20 gold for my gold type collection. My LCS pays $1.00 over spot for ASE's and sells around $2.25-$2.50 but then you have to tack on the 6% sales tax. A $2 premium would be much better but that $2.50 over spot seems to be a pretty common range. Wish I was a little more liquid as I'd have bought them. Will be interesting to see what deals are out there on the 2016 ASE's when they hit in January................

you made a very good buy...and the rounds buy at .69 over spot was always very good...the metals always tank ahead of the monthly jobs report which is coming Friday...so the timing is quite in addition to the modest prem

Like everything else with money, it's a game. The stock market is a lottery, no bank is paying interest, and investments are just that, no matter what you chose to invest in. Of course, the argument hinges on short or long term investment and that can change in the blink of an eye. Panic also plays a major role, buying or selling. Timing, don't even try, you'll lose every time.

The winners are the ones who lose the least amount of money. :)
