Fantastic tribute to an obviously interesting and intelligent man. May God be with you and your family.
Sorry for your loss. Your father was lucky to have had an interesting life and career, and you are fortunate to have some mementos as your photographs show above. We all have parts of our fathers' personalities in us, and they made us the men that we have become. Cherish your memories and hold on to the items that you have. God bless you and your family.
Very poignant remembrance of your dad. We will all face that point in our lives sometime. Things like the coins and postcard and articles are just things but help flood the memories back. I have things from my grandfathers and dad and look at them often. I'm fortunate to still have my father and will call him tonite.......good luck over the next days and months....
You also have my condolences. Both my parents died 8 month's apart. My dad died in a car wreck Thanks giving evening 2013, and my mother died July 1 2014 after enduring 2-3 month's of suffering from cancer, but you asked us to bring back fond memories of deceased family members. I have many-too many to bore members here, so I will just say RIP all of our deceased loved ones. By the way, I am surprised your father could not often afford more valuable coins with such an impressive resume.
Sorry for your loss. It sounds like your father led a very full and interesting life. I have some coins that were passed down to me from my deceased family members. I remember when I was young they asked me if I'd ever be interested in coins and I think my response was "No" or "I don't know" and now it is my favorite hobby!
Although I created another thread on your recent trade currency issues that I bought (the full set), I think it only appropriate to post your finest work as a tribute to your dad. He would have been extremely proud of this work, and I know he is looking down at his son, and beaming from ear to ear. God bless him!!!
Daniel, My most sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss. It is a life event after which you'll never be quite the same. You and your family will be in my thoughts. I wish you peace and hope that your grieving is short and that your celebration of his life and your relationship be long. I wish you nothing but the best. Mike
Great man, great memories. What more can a son ask for? Cherish the memories. He lived a great and full life. I truly appreciate that you shared this with all of us. Thank you.
Very interesting tribute to a long life well-lived. Best wishes to you and yours as you celebrate your father's life.
