    Congratulations Tyler!

Your genius decision to sell off your $8000 coin collection and buy 85.994 BTC has certainly outpaced gold and silver over the almost 10 years since. I hope you’re enjoying your $1.7mm windfall!

Nobody will sell their gold coins to buy BITCOIN today. All crytos will tank/ FIAT currencies will also go into hyperinflation.

I suspect the next rate increase will be a half-point, maybe even another 3/4 point like last year's 3 consecutive boosts. If that doesn't blast the Bitcoin balloon, nothing will.

No matter what else happens, I simply wish Bitcoin would hurry up and destruct so we can move beyond whatever negatives occur.

Bitcoin up 9 percent today. Interesting. Very stupid, but still interesting.

No, we thought he was joking, because he was. "Crazy" is the fact that he would've come out massively ahead if he'd seriously done it. At least, up to the present day. Jury's still out for the future.

How many fanboys have lived through an inflationary period while owning a promise of future demand? It's not just bitcoin, but any commodity like silver and gold as well. Those commodities do not return any investment until sold. Just like the stock market.

You invest $100 and pat yourself on the back when it rises to $1000. But because it has been such a good investment, you put in another $1000. Then when it goes back to $100, you're down $800.

This is why casinos work. Winners rarely stop when they are ahead.

BTW, commodities go down rapidly when the focus shifts from safety to return on investment.

Bought silver under $4 after it hit $80 briefly a decade earlier. But I had to sell it to realize a return.

The ONLY things that keep going up/up/up are rare coins. I have some with provenance going back to 1880s. One AV Fiorino di Camera ND (1494) from Pope Alessandro VI in MS
sold in Berlin auction 1936 for 25RMs ($5) In 2016 I won that same coin for 4200 Swiss Francs "800" fold increase/ way over inflation for same period 150-200 %. This AV Dukat 1633 FDC Polish Auction/ I won for 3800euros in 2016/ in 2020 a exact same piece sold in Slovak Auction for 24K euros!!!!! 8f03ca70cee77a51fe3e151aad50249c.jpg 9abd7c4941789df2c02b4a9a4f13febb.jpg

Silver under $4 is a great memory from my yoot. ;) However, I cannot recall $80 silver, ever. I actually don't recall $70, $60, or even $52 silver. Back in 1980 I do remember $50 silver for a hot minute. Can you isolate that $80 silver moment for me? I'm pretty sure I'd have been on the unload it bandwagon at that price.

Must invest in different stocks than I do. I collect about 4% annually in dividends for my "play money" stock portfolio.

Ditto. My portfolio transitioned to income/growth in about 2018. I put a decent emphasis on dividend aristocrats and kings. And then there's the handful of high yield dividend equity issues that sweetened the ROI nicely.

I believe it was a futures market during the Hunt Bros attempt to corner the Silver Market.
