I know they'll never be high dollar, but I like the Kennedy.jpg way they've toned.

2002 was he year they drastically cut production of the Kennedy's. From 21 million in 2001 to only 3 million in 2002. Maybe some day.

You know the mint never released the 2001 halves P & D until years later $50. Mint bags with a 50/50 mix. You can find them on ebay at a premium because....they may have a very cool variety in the bag.

The 2001 convex Kennedy half spoon shaped if you search this site you'll find my post as well images.
I discovered the variety as the coins wouldn't stack.....and you could actually spin tbe coun on the reverse.
A post scrip a person I met on line stole my find by sending it in as his find..he also stole money from another associate of mine.

Pretty nice for clads, you don’t see much with natural aged color like that. We’ve got silvers that tone much the same way, from the perimeter in.

Is the reverse of the coins toning in the same manner as the obverse @furham? I like what you have there. Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking pair. How were they being stored. I like the toning.

In an aftermarket set in cardboard under plastic.

I have tons of Kennedys which have been stored in plastic capsules, inside cardboard boxes. Many have toned and I'd put them on eBay but I don't feel like dealing with people who'll insist I must have doctored them.

Also, as you say, they're not worth that much to begin with.

I have a group of IKE dollars that toned nicely in old plastic holders. They all received straight grades with PCGS. I might make a few dollars after fees if I sold them.

Thanks for mentioning that. Hadn't even occurred to me, for some reason. Wonder if it's worth the trouble. Might just pull those boxes out again...they've had another few years' storage now.

If I recall the Ike's in the brown? Orginial gov packages toned big time. As did Jefferson nickels western series, and the two matte proofs 94 & 97.

My Kennedy Clad Proof set is almost complete (got the early silvers too). Got the 69 Pf ucam in the mail today. Now if I could only get the 2018.
