No, I don't. But there are a lot of local collectors and some other farangs (non-Thais) do collect them. Several of the larger open markets in Bangkok have coin and other collectibles corners. I expect counterfeit old coins are rampant here. I stick to US coins and bullion.

Looking at the current scenario, the china stock stock market crash and Iran deal are seem to be affecting global oil prices. Prices have plunged over past few days. The situation may turn out to be same for precious metals.

I think you may be right with China even though it is a tiny stock market, it has a global impact. With all commodity markets closely related when one sneezes... Though the Iran deal is being a bit overblown. They don't have the infrastructure to turn on the export tap for another 18 to 24 months much more than a trickle.

Yes. And analysts are optimistic on this. But, this doesn't seems to be turn out into reality, at least for some more time. Day by day prices are declining even more.

    Buy don't shy?

With silver, gold, and even platinum prices dipping, is now the time to buy and not shy away from silver and gold?

You don't buy commodities in a downtrend like this

But how do you know it's a trend?

I buy when it's low... set a minimum value it should dip below and swing... usually there are very few surefire signs that silver is headed further south.

Though, I buy it for the medium to long haul. If you want to ride the hype-mobile, then short term trading strategies may make sense with sudden, relatively immediate upward/downward trends, barring any major catastrophes (e.g. bubbles, crashes, serious political news, etc.).

Silver has not hit it's yearly lows. Will silver follow gold? Only the market knows but usually when one metal goes down the other follows. Now we wait and see..

yawns.... I thought there were rules about discussing religion here. Did know revelations was based on openings during Roman during the time was being wrote. Just like many stories like the hobbit were based on the wars going on at the time.
