China supplied arms and troops to North Korea in the Korean war. They also supplied the NVA/Vietcong during the Vietnam war. But then they also invaded Vietnam in 1979, so they are capable of dumping old allies. I think they will dump North Korea too because China wants to be the cock of the walk. North Korea is just baggage that hurts their worldy image.

Yes but Japan is also probably our closest ally. (the info I'm seeing has China as the largest foreign holder, but maybe they were passed recently by Japan)

 

A couple of years ago they were passed when we stopped borrowing money from them. Although we still have a large trade debt with them. Oh and I forgot the federal reserve.

 

A war economy is a good economy the US is the largest exporter of war. Let the good times roll we can sell arms to a group in one country. At the same time we are at war with that group in a different country. Stirring up the cold war time to start selling $500. left handed screwdrivers to the government remember the good old days. How many gold vaults have we emptied for safe keeping over the last 20 years?

 

I personally hope some day there will be no more wars.
