    I remember being disappointed in 1958 when Heinz failed to offer a new variety and change their add to Heinz 58. I was in middle school and did not have any better grasp then on the realities of advertising than I do now. I have no idea how many varieties they offer now.

    A generation or two later a relative switched the obverse to Ancus Marcius who, as a Roman, should be more politically correct.
