Dreaming... What would you buy?

Hypothetically of course, if you had a 50k to invest in bullion, how would you spread it out? ASE's? AGE's? Pre-1933 coins? Just curious. Possibly dreaming, but a fun idea none-the-less. :)

What would your purpose be? If ONLY for investment, then what space are you working with? $50k of silver is a lot of space, but $50k of gold can fit into anyone's SDB easily.

I would probably do 2 monster boxes of ASE's, and the rest AGE or Buffalos if only for investment in the US.

I'd invest the whole $50K in something that pays a better return than coins and/or bullion.

Could you put together a pre-1933 gold type set, for 50k? If so, thats what i would do. And possibly a ASE set from 86 to date.

Heck yeah if you are only going back to about 1850 like most gold type sets do. Heck no if you are including 18th century issues.

Yeah, but I guess since its dreaming you are assuming its $50k not needed for long term retirement planning. Even then, $50k in PM is not bad assuming you have $500k-$1 million in other investment assets as well.

Something to lock away for (hopeful) increase in value? AGE due to space requirements.

Something to enjoy acquiring and showing off? Pre-1933 gold coins.

I'd say strictly as a potential investment you'd get a lot more bang for your buck with ASE's or Maple Leaves. From a collecting standpoint, I'd get some old gold that I'd otherwise not buy, like a $50 CA slug or a down payment on a nice Stela.

1oz eagles. Third/third/third, and a heavy duty vault door.

For within US, I'll say either a tube of 20 AGE and the rest in monster boxes of ASE... OR, 2 tubes of 20 AGE and the some ASE...
Reason is widely accepted.. and won't need to seek out/depend on people to give proper valuation of a collectible.

Rather spend the time looking for good land.

Since the GSR is so high, I would get just a few cool gold coins like a $20 Liberty, a French rooster, and a British sovereign.
An ounce of platinum for fun.
The bulk on some of my favorite silver: US 90% halves and quarters, Canadian 80% halves, Australian sterling florins, maybe some Mexican onzas from 1979-80
Maybe a Panda or something Perth Mint
