Something a bit out of my area but I really liked the coin and it wasnt something I see often so I added it to my collection.

Ifriqiya is Africa. Could this coin be Fatimid and older than 1300 A.D. ?

That's a very neat coin, Mat (congrats) ... ummm, but I'm having a bit of trouble spotting the chick on the reverse (is she swimming?)

I am familiar with a smattering of Islamic coins, like Arab sassanid, Arab byzantine, and turkomen bronzes. I just haven't jumped in on the rest. I do know the square shape is very common on north African and Spanish IslaMic coins.

    Cool pickup.
