Nope, they mint their own products and they have some very nice stuff. I've ordered their products before, just not directly from them.

Don't know how you managed $330 because 4x99 is basically $400 and looking at the roll price you are still paying almost $20 a coin with MCM. They were much cheaper through Silvertowne over the weekend.

I thought you meant MCM and no way you could have gotten them that cheap. I scored two rolls that cheap with Silvertowne over the weekend too.

Is that a good/great price for the 1904-O MSD MS-66/CAC ? It appears to be....you also bought a PCGS MSD from Silvertowne ?

Silvertown makes their own COINS ? Those are not U.S. Buffalos ? I'm surprised they are allowed to even strike them if they look anyway similar.

Yes they do. What is a U.S. buffalo? The only one I know of is gold and isn't all that similar.

In retail, we used to call it a "loss leader", attracts customers who for whatever reason have not purchased from you before. ebay is heavy into promoting these items also, just like their "daily deals".

Numerous dealers will feature occasional spot price promos. Bought some very nice AU Onzas from Provident a few weeks back.

New to this forum, seems everyone is somewhat enamored with the ASE. It has drawbacks other than the stiff premium. Our Chinese friends have shaken the integrity of the CC silver dollar market with counterfeits. If the fakers get to the 1 oz. level, guess what their target will be, would it logically be the ASE? In 2013 the RCM added features to the maple to attempt to inhibit such action.

And guys please remember, when the "crunch" comes, I don't care if you vision it as bartering dimes for bread, or chests of gold for choice real estate, the true nemesis will be the people investing in 30 shot clips and thousand of rounds of ammunition for their AK's.

Personally, I rarely pass up the chance to purchase silver at melt.

Alibaba, there's one of the bad words! Not only the largest IPO in history, but I read last week that Mr. Ma's e-commerce efforts did $90 billion in sales through the 3rd qtr. of 2014, compared to ebay's $20 billion.

We are clearly the 2nd world economy, and quite frankly, there doesn't seem to be much concern. I strongly believe that our immediate descendants are going to face a much tougher world. Fear that they will not have the opportunities enjoyed by my generation.

One of the unrecognized traps in this scenario is life insurance. Men have paid into whole life insurance for decades to protect their family, and no doubt the family will get its payment, but will high inflation reduce the payment's purchasing power to the point of covering just a few years (or months!) of living expenses for the wife and kids? Worth thinking about.
