    Box of nickels
    28 pre-1960 including a AU 1939!
    2 Canadians 1984 and 1985
1 5 cent casino gaming token
This is my first box of nickels, i wish i got a silver, but the 1939 made me happy.
Also the teller had 4 SBA dollars. 2 1979, 2 1980. I figured why not I could get a near date or something (which i didn't).

Thanks. The 1984 is a new one for cudsoncoins.com. Hoping to get it over to them soon to add to their site.

Found the commemorative half last week and that ugly thing today.
(It's one of the most beautiful "ugly things" I've found roll-searching dimes)

Holy cow! Can you make out the full date in-hand? It looks like 1877 or 1875 to me, but that last digit is really obscure.

    Mint mark, by chance?

Maybe it's an impaired proof... :D

That's a nice find. I'd try to neutralize the corrosion before it becomes more problematic.

Thanks NOS. It has really nice rims IMO. In almost $15k worth of cents searched, it is only my 7th 09 found and definitely in the nicest shape.
    What would you recommend?

Wow, only your seventh. I've heard a lot of good things about "Verdi-care". It contains a neutralizing agent which helps to prevent further corrosion. I believe this fellow member invented it: https://www.cointalk.com/members/badthad.17261/. I would send them a message and see what they have to say.

I won an auction on eBay for a 4 roll box mint issued 2005 Bison Nickel set 2P and 2D, these are the one with the mint issued wrappers not bank wrapped. I got them for $8.50 not much mark up over FV. I've never opened any of these rolls to search and want open these for a while, but I was wondering if the rolls issued by the mint contain any errors or MM varieties. I save solid date rolls for my grandsons so we can search them together when they get old enough to understand what they are looking for and so they can have solid date uncirculated rolls that are are older than they are. Would've been nice if my grand daddy had done this in 1960. Who knows I may have spent em on junk like all the baseball cards I bought in the 80's. Oh well if they spend all the rolls I have for them it will only be face value or small amount over so no loss.

Its a snow day today. I might look through some of my copper pennies for errors, but ill probably spend most of my day shoveling.
But its still better than school!
I wish i had a couple of boxes of halves though.

  21. Went through box #252 - 254 of pennies. Here are the results:
    15 Wheats - Earliest was 1935
    1,374 Copper; 4 were Canadian
    No Errors/Varieties found...
