Came in today's mail from APMEX. Looks a little too much like last year's for my liking. Maybe next year's will be better. We can only hope.
I never kept track. They didn't change the reverse this year like they were talking a few months back? They need to, that reverse is a catastrophe, especially compared to the gorgeous original.
I agree! Why not use Weinman's walking eagle for the reverse, like on the half dollar? It's my favorite eagle on any coin. With the feathers all showing in a new coin it would be amazing.
One of these days there will be a design change or a cessation of the current design and then values will change along with the idea that bullion versions are just that.
Treehugger, how were yours condition-wise? I just got 2 tubes today from the APMEX Ebay listing I posted a couple of weeks ago and 1 tube is really good and 1 tube I'd be lucky to get 3+ MS69s, if I were to send them in. 1 of them has a huge rim ding and divot on the reverse.
One of the rolls you received was probably the rejects from grading. Only the MS70 and 69 coins get graded, everything else gets put back into tubes and returned to Apmex.
Pacecar, the roll I got all looked really good. I ordered them directly from APMEX when they had the pre-sale back in November. .
