Just received 3 of the Feast Peace dollar design and they are absolutely beautiful. Ive known about this series since the first coin came out and never decided to pull the trigger. Im just not the kind of guy to get into a newly produced series of bullion but seeing these makes me wish I got in earlier. Definitely going to continue buying a few of each new design!
Anyone notice the new proof feast dollar has been released and limited to 2,500. No more 10,000 like the previous releases. I know the proofs are over priced but now it's limited to 2,500 I like the collectibility aspect.
Yeah, I have been bugging them non stop about the release. They kept telling me that they were having issues at the mint. I ordered my proofs within 2 mins of getting the email that they were available.
10,000, but I don't think any of them have sold out. (they are all still for sale) Looks like they also lowered the price along with the mintage, the feast dollar and starving liberty proof is $39.95, when all the others were $49.95 with the exception of the walker which was $74.95
Cause they were 8 weeks late in releasing it. They were supposed to release the proofs 8 weeks ago but they told me that they were having problems at the mint. They normally release the proofs 6 weeks after the bullion (3 month run).
Does anyone know the names and design types for the remaining issues? I think I heard something about a Seated design called Ceeded Liberty. Starving Liberty just became my new favorite.
Absolutely true. If y'all like them, then buy them but don't think for one minute that you're gonna make a profit because you may not. One oz of silver is better traded as American Silver Eagle Coins. You think I'm wrong, just wait a few years and try to take some of them Zombucks to a coin shop for sale. Most dealers will pay you a dollar or two less than an ASE, mark my words. good luck fellers.
I was surprised to hear of the way they shipped that, how hard is it to put some kleenex in the tube so they don't move aroud.
I guess it's a good thing there are buyers other than the local coin shops. I ordered 20 of the Walkers when they were released. I sold 15 of them. The 5 that I have left were "free" for me, actually I was paid $15 to take those 5, even after Ebay's and Paypal's fees.
Absolutely, there's not a problem selling them when they're popular, it's after there not popular, when you'll run into problems.
Same here Pacecar, bought 10 walkers for $23 each, sold 9 for $50 each. Got rid of the rest for about 75% markup. I can't complain, Zombucks have been good to me. And I still have an up to date silver set. Here's a pic of my "Silver Plated" set.
I made it. I also posted pics of 2 others I made under the "Have you ever made your own coin display?" thread here on Coin Talk. I sold a couple on the "bay" previously.
