I will be there from the start of Triton viewing on Sunday until the show closes the next Sunday. Working the whole time, of course, but I can slip away for a chat on show days. PM for my cell number.
Well, I'm planning on attending on Saturday the 10th. Unless something comes up which hopefully it won't. Great, drop one addiction pick up another. But at least coins, won't hurt you physically it will just hurt your wallet.
I haven't really collected Ancients but I like to look and learn. It only costs locals $5.00 round trip subway fare, and then the cost of admission, minus the $5 off coupon posted on the NYINC website. Undecided on when, but I should have a chance to go this year.
I really wish this wasn't posted in the Ancients section. From experience the NYINC is by far more oriented to world coins than ancients.
I can barely afford $100 in coins, let alone a trip there. Forget it, even though I'd like to go one day.
Geeesh Daryl ... c'mon man, that's not the 2015 spirit, my friend!! Hmmm, there must be some way of you getting there "on the cheap"? ... => I've racked my brain and come-up with a few possible solutions to your money-situation ... hopefully this helps? => I have faith in you (2015 is gonna rock!!) ... this is Gil-galad's year!!
Well just to see what happened I started a thread in the world section. You guys can see the exciting responses it got here.
Hmmm? ... FUN does sound like fun though, eh? (I'm totally jealous that there is even "1" option where you dudes live ... but having "2" options is merely glutinous!!) ... aaarrrggghhhh, curse my frozen Canadian prison!! .... => Bing, TIF and Jango ... I'm assuming that you southern folk migrate towards that "party" eh?
FUN is at Orlando Convention Center. FUN = Florida United Numismatists I will not be able to make it this year because of my wife's scheduled surgeries near the same dates.
=> sorry Gil-galad, you'll have to read the first page of this thread to understand my detour-comments (yah sorry, "occasionally" I tend to drift off-coin-track slightly)
