I needed a break. Those big up and big down days keep a guy glued to the kitco page watching for an opening. For a brief moment this week gold and platinum matched prices. Still looking for that magic moment where I can trade even up gold for platinum.

Either way, a little bit of calm was nice for a change.

Yeah the market has been a rough ride lately. I'll be taking it easy on PM and numismatics for the rest of the year.

And then came black Friday with a $0.74 drop to $15.48. It is heading like oil to a lower number, especially with the news out of Switzerland. Although I can't believe it is happening, I'm now thinking it may bottom at about $12.

I shouldn't have said anything. I always jinx myself. Now that the price blew down again, I also found provident has eagles for $2.39 over. I put em in the cart and then successfully talked myself out of it.

It got a big boost today for no good reason. It is going to $12; but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Nothing really surprises me at this point. $14.65 is my best entry point so far. Gonna take $13.00 to draw me in for another bite, and only if that's at least two weeks from now. I don't want to hit every branch on the way down, ya know?
