I think you guys are doing just fine. While you might think little dings and nicks are all bad and irritate you, I honestly wouldn't get twisted up about it. In the end it's all silver and if it was a good buy at $20 or $22 what would make it a bad buy at $18 or $19? The real answer is nothing, unless you didn't have the actual capital to buy it and need to sell it right away.

 

I think I paid like $590 for the kilo. Imo anything under $20 per is a good price but I have time and a good income on my side. Just don't see how when I die hopefully at least 40 years from now G&S will be at least double its current price if not a lot more. Plus I really like stacking metal

 

Two of my favorite silver pieces. I think both are great story tellers.

 

Adding to PeacePeople's comment: Unless it's been in a fire, flattened between rollers or been damaged beyond recognition; I have never been paid differently for bullion because of appearance. If it is also a collectable, then that makes it an exception.

 

I like the Gairsoppa round. Its always been outside my buy level - but interesting.

I think I have done something stupid. I bought a 1oz Panda in haste on ebay and now pretty sure that it's a fake as I paid far less than expected and just received a 2nd chance on another item at far below spot. Serves me right for jumping for a bargain - financially it was a trifling amount (less than £5) but I hate that a scamming git has taken any money from me. Wonder if I'll get a refund if it does turn out to be fake?

 

pandas usually go for $40-50.

 

Thanks - I bid a reasonable amount as I was at work when it was due to end. I was a bit shocked when I won a such a low price. I sent a message asking for a refund and got up this morning found the money back in paypal.

 

Finally got this one in the mail. Love it!

 

Picked up a couple RCM 10oz and an 89 Panda.

 

A friend of mine makes these...they're pretty cool, IMO.
